Current project - Stairwell Rescue

An animated short undertaken at my own behest, this work in progress is a small part of a much larger story. I'm aiming to complete this section in the second half of 2007.

'Newspaper Round' - Music video for 'Girlinky'

This music video for 'Newspaper Round' by 'Girlinky' was developed entirely in Flash. The video features four connected stories - each focusing on one of four band members. Click the images to see the two sections I developed, or follow the link below to watch the full video with music.

'Auro and Borea' - World Wide Fund for Nature

A Flash animation that provides the back story for two Polar Bear characters featured on a WWF mini-site. I was responsible for animating the bears.

Mock movie credits

Developed as a cringingly unfunny joke, this Flash mock-movie introduction also features a soundtrack that was sampled, recorded, tweaked and mixed by me.

'Meet Dad' - Music video for 'Loka'

An entry into Loka's short film competition, the clip was chosen to feature on the band's DVD. Live footage filmed against green-screen was vectored, Photoshopped and placed in 3D generated environments to tell a tale of one man's retreat into oblivion. And check out my cameo on the train...

'Side Dish' - Music video for 'Psapp'

This video was developed with Futronica for the Radar film festival in London where it made the judges' short list. Character designs and backgrounds were painted then scanned and animated with the aim of giving the clip a strong, hand made look.

'Umbrella' - Music video for 'Inchworm'

A hand-drawn, stop-frame animation for New Zealand band 'Inchworm'. The video explores how 2D animated characters can interact with their 3D environs. Not a bad tune, too.

'Railway Xings' - Music video for 'Grande Cobra'

Developed with the folks at 'Futronica', this video for London-based 'Grande Cobra' merges sequences of still photography with animated backgrounds to tell a gothic, comedic tale of pesky, sinister birds and blood sucking thorns. Enjoy!

'No More Broken Hearts' - Music video for 'Computerman'

Developed with Futronica Productions, this video features vectored live footage of the band performing in a dangerous, animated otherworld. As seen on MTV.

'It's The Sugar Rush' - Music video for 'Girlinky'

The second music video release for 'Girlinky', 'It's The Sugar Rush' features live footage superimposed over Flash animated cityscapes.

Intro/Outro for 'Hai Wakarimashita' music video

These two pieces of Flash animation serve as cartoonish 'brackets' around the live-action music video for 'Hai Wakarimashita'. With some careful cross-fading and positioning in Vegas, the animations link into and out of the live action bulk of the video.
